Foundation of a new production plant in India
VAUTID INDIA became a reality in the month of May 2016. This was the latest invest of the VAUTID GROUP in another future market to provide effective cover for the Indian and South East Asian market.
Less than six months after the company’s incorporation, VAUTID INDIA had set up a complete factory at MIDC-Chakan, a large industrial park near Pune. The facility produces wire and electrodes.
VAUTID INDIA is a wholly owned subsidiary of VAUTID GmbH. The factory is located opposite the Bridgestone plant in Chakan, the industrial hub of Pune, set within the green hills of the Western Ghats. Chakan is home to some of the most prominent German brands in India, such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, ThyssenKrupp, and many others.
The premises boast state-of-the-art facilities, with well-furnished offices spread over three floors. With its epoxy-coated floor, the workshop provides a clean operational environment. The plant’s well-lit shop floor and exterior forms an attractive feature in the latest phase of the MIDC-Chakan Area. (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation).
The plant was commissioned just a few weeks after building started.

The plant-opening ritual was held on the 11th October 2016, or “Dussera” day. This is one of the most auspicious days in the traditional 10-day festival of Navaratri. Throughout India, every industry celebrates Dussera Day as a “Pooja” day, with prayers for the business’s growth and longevity, the well-being of its employees, and the preservation of tools and equipment. All the contractors and service providers involved in setting up the plant participated in the event and wished VAUTID INDIA great success.
The plant was inaugurated on November 18th 2016, in the presence of our esteemed customers, channel partners, service providers, set-up partners and our highly motivated VAUTID INDIA team. All the attendees, especially clients such as ThyssenKrupp and FLSMIDTH, expressed their appreciation of the event and the new facility. The event was also graced by our neighbors M/s. Bridgestone India, Fronius India as well as representatives of other German companies such as Schmersal and the AHK.
