VAUTID website accessibility

Accessible to visitors with a wide range of needs

At VAUTID, we want our website to be accessible to everybody – including, of course, people who have restricted vision, hearing, mobility or cognitive function.

User interface flexibility and adaptive browser rendering
You can use adaptive technologies to access our website via desktop computers and other terminals, as well as mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. The site can also be used to a reasonable extent with audio output, screen magnification and text-based browsers. In designing the various elements of our web content – graphics, text, and technical features – we have placed particular importance on ensuring that our webpages can be adequately rendered on any desktop or mobile device, via any popular browser, with our without a high-speed internet connection.

Optimized design and navigation options
Our website fonts and user interface elements have been designed with an appropriate level of contrast. An image enlarging feature is available if needed, as is an option to display alternative text in place of any images which cannot be loaded, or which the user does not want to load. All key navigation elements can be accessed via mouse, touch screen or keyboard. In addition, individual elements within our online forms can be accessed separately.

Ease of operation combined with maximum interoperability
The VAUTID website offers its visitors flexibility, allowing them to access information about our company and our products in a way which suits their individual needs. We aim to make our web content as simple to grasp as possible. User interface elements are easy to understand, allowing visitors of all abilities to use them without difficulty. Our web-based editing system prevents, to the greatest extent possible, any potential risks and undesirable consequences that may arise from unintended user interactions. Modern technologies are used to ensure maximum interoperability with any aids or additional applications used by visitors.

Consistent page architecture and intuitive orientation
A common navigation system is used across every topic and subject category, and individual pages follow a standardized layout. Tiles are used to provide an overview of the sub-topics available under each main topic area. Linked menus offer rapid access to pages containing detailed product information. The central sections of these lower-level pages include text, images and downloadable files. An optional column in the right margin aids understanding through links to additional information and related topics. Fixed displays in the header and footer areas help provide intuitive user orientation, and visitors can get in touch quickly just by clicking in the footer.
