VAUTID GROUP and UPPlate jointly present themselves as a leading global manufacturer of wear protection solutions
Welding & Cutting 2025, the world´s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and coating, took place from September 15 to 19, 2025, at the exhibition center in Essen. The trade fair is held every four years. It is an important meeting place and source of inspiration for companies and shows how the industry is positioning itself for the future. More than 800 exhibitors presented the latest trends, and over 37,000 trade visitors took the opportunity to talk to experts in person.
Dr. Udo Scheer, CEO of the VAUTID GROUP, gave a positive assessment of this year´s fair participation: ” VAUTID and UPPlate presented themselves jointly to an international audience of experts for the first time here. As a leading global manufacturer of wear protection components and services in Asia, Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and North and South America, our customers , who are also often globally positioned, benefit from the expertise and high level of service provided by both companies in the filed of wear protection. Our strengths are our unmateched, globally uniform quality standards and our global production, storage, and delivery capabilities. We are the experts in the market for high-quality, custom-made solutions and components made of castings, weld overlay materials, and composite plates. Our 80-year history as a pioneer in many areas of wear protection is in demand worldwide, and we are proud that we were able to present ourselves as a strong group.”
Centrally located near the West Entrance, VAUTID and UPPlate were well positioned with an attractive exhibition stand in hall 3. Our pre-announced Specialist Days were well attended by many interested parties, who sought advice from our experts for the Americas, Europe, Asia/ International regions, as well as colleagues from engineering, production, purchasing, and quality management. Many of our dealers, partners, and regular customers also visited the booth during the five days of the trade fair.
In addition, there were two reasons to celebrate during the trade fair. The birthday of the managing director of our parent company UPPlate, Mr. AJ Chang, was honored, as was the 80th anniversary of the VAUTID GROUP. To mark the occasion, Messe Essen presented us with an anniversary cake right at our booth. We would like to express our gratitude for this lovely gesture.
The next Welding & Cutting 2029 trade fair will take place from September 17 to 21, 2029. We are looking forward to seeing you again in 2029 at our booth.
